The outdoors can be brutal: blistering heat, freezing cold, wind, rain. The elements attack your gear. The wiring is a nightmare. The GPERx6 solves both problems – a rugged, outdoor-ready switch that cuts cable clutter and keeps deployments simple.
On the surface, it’s straightforward:
- 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE-in (#1) and PoE-out (#2 & #3)
- 3× 10G SFP+ cages for long-distance fiber
- 3 DC outputs for devices that don’t use PoE, for example, IoT setups
- Heavy-duty IP66 enclosure with handy mounting hardware
- A dedicated 10G switch chip (tested in ISP favorites like the netPower Lite 7R)
But the real advantage is how it allows you to manage power and data over long distances (1-2 km) even in the trickiest scenarios!
